An undeniable truth of our existence is the passage of time. Whatever we do or wherever we are, we live in the immediacy of here and now, with a future unveiling before us and an ever-growing past behind us. In physics, this phenomenon is known as the Arrow of Time, a reality where we can only go forward. Only objects have the beautiful capacity to transport us into the past through their materiality that somehow freezes a specific moment for posterity.
Through personal experiences as a common thread, I analyze the transcendence of things that, thanks to their intangible value, endure to make visible some fundamentals that unite us all, no matter where we come from. This, from the present time when memory is reinvented towards an algorithm housed in electronic materiality in constant readjustment. The incessant passage of time, finally, is restructured into a new, more abstract weave of digital modernity where everything can be reduced to zeros and ones.

Eine unbestreitbare und anhaltende Wahrheit unserer Existenz ist der Lauf der Zeit. Was auch immer wir tun oder wo auch immer wir uns befinden, wir leben in der Augenblicklichkeit des Hier und Jetzt, mit einer sich vor uns öffnenden Zukunft und einer unmittelbaren und immer größer werdenden Vergangenheit, die hinter uns liegt. In der Physik ist dieses Phänomen als Zeitpfeil bekannt, was bedeutet, dass wir nur vorwärts gehen können. Nur Objekte besitzen die wundervolle Eigenschaft, uns durch ihre Materialität in die Vergangenheit zu versetzen, die in gewisser Weise einen bestimmten Moment für die Nachwelt einfriert.
Dieser Dokumentarfilm erkundet Perspektiven, die sich auf die elementare Metaphysik der Objekte beziehen. Die Erzählung des Films setzt sich aus einem Flickenteppich von Anekdoten zusammen, der von einer Mischung aus Formaten getragen wird. Filme sind, wie die Zeit selbst, immer in Bewegung. Aus demselben Grund wird der Film wiederum zu einem Untersuchungsgegenstand, in dem die Montage die Materialität der Formate, ihre Beziehung zur historischen Zeit und ihre eigene Erzählfähigkeit herausarbeitet.

Una verdad innegable de nuestra existencia es el paso del tiempo. Hagamos lo que hagamos o nos encontremos donde nos encontremos, vivimos en la instantaneidad del momento presente, con un futuro que se despliega por delante y un pasado inmediato y siempre creciente detrás de nosotros. En física, este fenómeno se conoce como la Flecha del Tiempo, una realidad donde solo podemos ir hacia adelante y sin la posibilidad de ir hacia atrás jamás. Solo los objetos tienen la hermosa capacidad de transportarnos al pasado a través de su materialidad que congela, de alguna manera, un momento específico para la posteridad.
A través de algunas experiencias personales como hilo conductor, analizaremos la trascendencia de cosas que gracias a su importe intangible perduran para hacer visibles algunos fundamentos que nos unen a todos, sin importar de dónde vengamos. Esto, desde el tiempo presente donde nuestro vivir se digitaliza incesantemente y, por lo tanto, la memoria se reinventa hacia un algoritmo alojado en una materialidad electrónica en constante reajuste. El incesante paso del tiempo, finalmente, se reestructura en una nueva trama más abstracta propia de una modernidad digital donde todo puede ser reducido a ceros y unos.
